Legal, attribution & takedown

Prompt Atlas is an independent, non-commercial index of publicly visible AI prompts. This page explains how sources are credited, how copyright is respected, and how to request a correction or removal.

Attribution

Every prompt entry links back to the public source it was captured from and names the author where that author is identifiable. Source-provided examples keep their original credit. Prompts whose original author is not recorded are labelled as such and are never attributed to Prompt Atlas.

Copyright & fair use

Prompt text is reproduced so readers can find, understand and reuse it. If you are a rights-holder and believe an entry reproduces more of your material than is necessary, contact us and we will shorten, credit or remove it. We do not claim ownership of third-party prompt text.

What is excluded

Unavailable posts are recorded as unavailable with no invented text or author attribution. Private messages, sensitive workplace material and unrelated personal content are excluded. Public accessibility can change at any time.

Personal data

The interactive site stores favourites, pasted text and your theme choice only in your own browser using local storage. Nothing is uploaded. You can export or clear this data at any time from the library panel.

Request a correction or removal

To request a correction, additional credit or removal of an entry, open an issue on the project repository with the prompt title and the change you need. Requests are actioned as quickly as possible.
